On behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India, the Indian Institute of Science, and seven Indian Institutes of Technology, namely Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Bombay, jointly conduct the GATE Exam.

• PG Programs in India :

• Students can use their GATE Exam Score to seek admission for M.E./ M.Tech / PhD from the top colleges of the country which include 23 IITs, 31 NITs, and other reputed colleges like IISc Bangalore, IIITs, BITS Pilani and VIT Vellore.

• PSU ( Public Sector Undertaking ) :

• Seeing the exponential rise in the number of engineering graduates in India who wish to get a PSU job, the PSUs have decided that a GATE Exam Score shall be the primary criteria for initial shortlisting this is big reason of Why GATE Exam is Important.

• Corporate Jobs :

• Although private companies do not have “GATE Qualified” as an essential requirement it surely will give you an edge over the candidates who didn’t qualify or appear for GATE.
